December 2009!

It's hard to believe that 2009 is coming to an end. We've been busy wrapping up units, so when we come back, we'll be ready to dig back in with new topics.

There's lots of excitement going on around school. Last week we enjoyed the 5th grade music concert. Today we are going to the 4th grade tea and sing-along which is hosted by Mrs. Sullivan's and Mrs. Mohrbacher's classrooms. It's always a good time. Tomorrow afternoon will be our classroom celebrations. Children may choose to participate with the gift exchange.

We have had a few students selected as students of the week. Congratulations to Macky, Colter, Madison, Kaden, and Brooke! Keep up the good work and positive role-modeling. I'm proud of you.

December reading calendars--keep reading and recording the minutes over the break. The kids need to bring those back on Janurary 4th.

School resumes on Monday, Janurary 4th. Over the break, encourage your child to read, and practice math facts. I am very impressed that over half of the class has passed out of the multiplication time test and are now working towards the division. We are going to have a celebration when most kids have met their goals, and have shown significant effort and progress.

Have a safe, fun, and relaxing break. See you in 2010!!
